LnP supporting victims of Gender Based Violence (GBV)
TEARS Foundation provides access to crisis intervention, advocacy, counselling, and prevention education services for those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child sexual abuse. Confidential services are provided to all victims at no charge! TEARS Foundation is a women-led organization providing help regardless of ethnicity, religion, culture or socio-economic background or location. TEARS Foundation provides assistance nationwide with a 24-hour free SMS service to anyone who has access to a cellphone.
LnP has partnered with TEARS to offer pro bono legal assistance to victims of Gender Based Violence. LnP provides support for the duration of a matter from start to conclusion, even if the matter takes years to conclude, which is so often the case, covering all legal costs including lawyers as well as counsels’ fees. In addition, both financial support as well as office equipment is supplied to support the smooth running of the organisation.
